Patillo Congregational Christain Church was founded in the old Patillo School in the early 1920's. The old Patillo
School was deed to the church in 1923 under the leadership " Rev Oscar A Hazel. In 1955.construction of what
is the current Patillo Congregational Christain Church building began; the old church was moved across the street
after the completion of the new church.The church undership of Rev,W.R ( Doc) Howard at that time.The addition of
the fellowship hall was built 1980's, Remoldeling of the church's interior was done in the early 1990's under the
leadership of Rev,James E Tinnin. The addition of the baptismal pool,pews,carpeting,and windows were added
the church. It was under the leadership of Rev Barry Palmer that central air and heating,and the purchase of
an additional 15 acres of land for the purpose of a cemetary were added to the church.In 2005, under the leadership
of Pastor C.L.Covington, a foyer was added on to the front entrance of the church, including two more bathrooms,
and new pastor's study.In addition, handicapped parking was added outside of the front enterance.Rev.McArthur
Pettiford is serving as Pastor since June 3,2012,he came in as interim pastor. He was installed February 2013.

From Greensboro: Take I/85 North to Haw River exit. Turn on Jimmy Kerr Road. Follow this road to Highway 49 north. Travel on
Hightway 49 to Hwy 62 North (Hwy 49 will branch off on Hwy 62,. Staystraight on Hwy 62). Travel approximately 2 miles. Turn left onto Patillo Church road and the Church will be on your right.
